What We Do

WNC for Change is organized to encourage civic involvement in pursuit of President Barack Obama’s political agenda through: (a) support for his legislative programs at the federal level; (b) support for local candidates who support his agenda in North Carolina’s 11th Congressional District; and, (c) service in response to on-going community needs. WNC for Change is a membership organization open to all voters who believe in our mission. We welcome those willing to work hard to achieve President Barack Obama’s agenda at the national, state and local levels.

LEGISLATIVE ACTION

WNC for Change promotes a progressive legislative agenda by empowering its members and volunteers to take action by contacting our elected representatives, writing to the local and national media, knocking on doors, calling our neighbors, and informing the public of the change we seek.

ELECTIONS

WNC for Change helps elect candidates to local and national levels of government and promotes an active, educated electorate by registering and empowering voters.

SERVICE IN THE COMMUNITY

WNC for Change responds to on-going local needs by providing service in the community. Our volunteers have helped with local programs like MANNA Food Bank, ABCCM, Senior Spruce Up with the Council of Aging, and the Pisgah View Peace Garden.
